Cons of online degree colleges.
The advancement in the technology has also increased the rate of scams happening. The school in which you are enrolling is legal or legitimate, only after this assurance you must enroll. There are many people who take a handsome amount and just issue you a print out which has no value in the market.
Some of the courses are such that you cannot learn through e-mail. These courses compulsorily require class room study. So you cannot at all enroll to some of them.
These degrees do not offer face to face interactions with teachers. All the exchange of thoughts is done only through e-mail, chats, group discussions. This is not very suitable for many people as they may end up spending more time with online people than the offline people.
It is not always necessary that the study atmosphere is very suitable for a person at home. It may happen that your personal responsibilities may become an obstacle in your study. In this situation it is better to go to a full time college for the degree.
The Online programs have professors available for you but on some specific time. Major part of your work is to be done by you on your own which requires a lot of self motivation and discipline. If that input is not given it will be very difficult for you to succeed.
The interaction with the fellow students and the teachers is very good in the overall growth of a student. The difficulties or doubts are solved in the online classrooms also but it takes time and till then may be you land up with another confusion about the topic.
